'I AM BATMAN.' This is the famous dialogue of Batman. A fictional comic book character. Many movies are made on him. Today we are here to talk about probably most successful Batman movie: The Dark Knight.
Hello, I am Kaushalesh. Many of you might think that superheroes are for kids but they aren't. This is the movie that made an impact on all superhero movies. Because here, the villain got more respect and fame than the hero. And he is Joker.
A great character played by Heath Ledger. Many of you might hear facts about these movies. So let's get started.
Some thieves enter the bank. They have Joker masks on their face. Here, enters villain, Joker. He looks like a psychotic. He speaks the dialogue: Why so serious? and it's the first time, he becomes famous in reel and real too. Then, famous Billionaire Bruce Wayne aka Batman investigates to reach Joker. In the movies, Joker does many blasts, infamous activities. And Batman is unable to reach there. This is a more psychological movie than an action movie. Because the movie's director is Christopher Nolan(The guy who manipulates time!). This movie was released in 2008. That means Nolan was a newcomer. In one scene, Batman needs to punch Joker many times was filmed in real(!), Heath himself told Christian Bale(Batman's actor) to punch him in real so he can act in real(like yelling, shouting). First time when Nolan announced that he is picking Heath for Joker's role, everyone criticized him and made fun of Heath. But then, according to rumours, Heath locked himself in a room for about a month to prepare for that role!
The movie was as such level that Nolan himself choreographed action scenes though he was no expert. So you won't enjoy action scenes much. There are many iconic scenes in this movie that you will love. So, you can say that Heath literally became a real Joker(infamous). Because he put his soul in this work. Unfortunately, Heath Ledger died after completing the movie. He also got an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor.
This movie is well written by Nolan. It also represents two sides of Bruce Wayne. Because he is struggling between Batman and Bruce Wayne. He also loses his loved one. And Alfred, Bruce's Butler is played very well by Michael Kaine.
So, this movie started the trend: Sometimes Villains are grater than Heroes. In fact, this is the second movie in Dark Knight Trilogy but you won't even notice while watching! And the theme music(my favourite one) by Hans Zimmer is great. Christian Bale is great!
And by inspiration of the Joker, DC also made Joker standalone movie that won Oscar. So, this one is worth watching. Thanks. Share your views below. Conclusion.
