Alchemist- Book that changed many's lives!

The Alchemist- simple meaning is one who knows chemistry, can turn any metal into gold. This is a fictional(I want to use word 'REAL' but I can't) book written by Paulo Coelho. This is tagged as one of the most popular and life-changing books of all time. It was released in 1988. It was originally published in Portuguese. But then, it became so popular that more than 10 crore copies have been sold out. So, this is numerical info. But let's talk about the real thing.

Hello again, I am Kaushalesh. This is something about inspirational things. So, let us get started. Paulo Coelho, like all other authors, had faced rejections. The Alchemist, his book, was not doing well in selling. But suddenly, US president(of that time) Bill Clinton's photo reading this book was received by Paulo Coelho. Then, Julia Roberts, famous actress said she was reading this. and then what, the book became famous(it should be)! Then many said that this book changed their lives.

PAULO COELHO                                                        So, the story starts with Santiago, a shepherd, continuously seeing one dream from last some days: a little girl comes to his ruins(where he takes break for some days) and takes him to Egypt's Pyramids and points her finger to some treasure and dream breaks. He goes to a Prophet who tells him to go to Egypt. Then he meets an old man who tells him to sell all his sheep and go on his dream path. But he faces a very critical situation, a man steals all his money and dreams too. He decides to work in a glass shop and make money to go to his dreams. In that time, he also thinks to step back but he refuses himself. So, here comes the protagonist(probably, but I think he is) an Alchemist. Santiago has heard many rumours about him that he has some magical powers. He also meets his true love. Alchemist guides him to reach his dreams, treasure in Pyramids. For that, he abandons everything. What do you think will he reach there? (I can't tell you as it would be spoilers!)

This is a shortened version of the story because it's long and has many micro-stories. And you may be thinking why it is a bestseller? You will get an answer when you read it. It is even translated into 67 languages. So, this is great for today!

My views: This book has many short stories that should be included in educational textbooks as a chapter in any language. If anyone is reading, please try to do it.                                                                                                                                                                                                   Share your perspectives in the comments. Thank you! Conclusion.
