The Witcher-Netflix( All you need to know)

  I love watching movies and web-series, especially fantasy and sci-fi. The Witcher is one of them. It's a Netflix adaptation of Polish novel series based on the same name. You know there are many Medieval movies and series. The famous GOT series though I haven't watched it yet. But this is different from that.

 It's written by Polish writer Andrej Sapkowski. He has written 8 books and short stories. There is a Witcher game series too! which is developed by CD Projekt Red(You read right).

  It's enough for the prologue. Let's get to the point. The Netflix series follows the story of Geralt Of Rivia. The series is based on the first book-'THE LAST WISH'. Geralt is a professional Witcher. Witcher means that one who kills beasts. That means the beast slayer. Geralt earns money by taking deed from victims or whoever wants that. But he is not respected due to his caste-The Witchers. The series is complicated due to Einstein(because it follows two timeline at the same time). On the second side, the princess of Cintra is Ciri. She is Geralt's destiny(I can't explain because it will be very long). So Nilfgaard attacks hostile Cintra. Ciri is commanded to escape. In the same time, Yennefer is becoming a witch-magician. on the third side, Geralt has freed King Foltest's daughter Striga from the curse. Jaskier, Geralt's friend is possessed by something so Geralt meets Yennefer for the first time to find a cure.

    You will think it's like a fairy tale but it isn't. This is a complicated story as it follows three person's timeline. In past, Geralt has come to Cintra to take Ciri as they were bound by the law of Surprise. But The Mage of Cintra tricks Geralt and jails him. In that time, Nilfgaard attacks Cintra. So Ciri needs to run for life. By the way, Geralt is probably 100 years old but Witchers age slowly. Now the past mixes into the present as the Brotherhood and Yennefer tries to protect it. And the story goes on. Geralt continues to find Ciri.

   So this is the first season. I don't know how many things I have forgotten to mention as I watched this series in December '19. But it's a great series. Netflix has done very well. Oh, I forgot to tell you about the cast. You would definitely know Geralt aka Henry Cavil(The Superman guy!) and Yennefer is played by Anya Chalotra(She has Indian-origin) and Ciri is played by Freya Allan. And one more thing, it has violence and other things too so this is not a PG-13 show. Hope you enjoyed reading! By the way, this is my first blog. Thank you!
