       Hello readers, I'm Kaushalesh Dave. This is about a novel today. Many of you might have heard about this novel and read too. This is a fictional novel by Amish Tripathi on Shiva(pronounce it as Shiv). It is the first book in Shiva trilogy.

      If you are interested in fictional books then this one is definitely for you. Firstly, this is based on Hindu Puran(this word is more suitable than mythology). It has every element that a novel should have like rich writing, great explanation about places. If you start reading this novel then you are not reading, you are living this book. 

     Author Amish Tripathi has done great work on this. This is his first book. The book was published in 2010.

FACT: THIS IS THE FIRST BOOK IN THE HISTORY WHICH HAD A CINEMATIC TRAILER WHEN IT PUBLISHED!

   Amish Tripathi quit his job at the bank to pursue a writing career. His book was rejected by many publishers and the rest is history!

     So, coming on the storyline of the book, Shiva is a veteran warrior who lives with his Guna(read it as gan)tribe. He lives in the Himalayas, everyday fighting against enemies. One day, Meluha empire's soldiers come to help Shiva and his tribe. They offer him a peaceful living in Meluha empire. Shiv agrees to go to live there with the tribe. But they are also seeking help from Shiva. When he reaches there, Shiv is instructed to drink Somaras(it's referred to as a medicine in the book) and then his throat becomes bluish. Thus, the king of Meluha, Daksh makes him a God. Because they were waiting for him! To help them to overcome difficulties. And to instruct Meluha in the war against Ayodhya. Shiv was amused by their way of a treat. But then he decides to help them. he meets Sati, Daksh's daughter. He meets Nagas, the villain of Meluha. And the journey continues...

    One thing, even though Gods are very powerful, Amish portrayed them as a normal human. He wants them to be normal and face every situation that humanity faces. This is a must-read book beautifully written. This novel is also available in many regional languages. 

    Amish has concluded this book series with three books and started a series of God Ram. Ok, as I mentioned above, the story is very long but very enjoying it too!
